Day 126 - A Recession-Era Wedding

In the midst of this period of unemployment, I did get to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime event. On May 8th (Day 65, I believe) I became "Father of the Bride".

My only daughter, who I like to refer to as "often traditional but never conventional", chose to downplay the pomp and have a downtown courthouse ceremony. Dad's being strapped for cash was only one of the factors in her decision, but I will always be grateful for her timely conservatism.

It was a small and meaningful gathering with a quaint Italian dinner afterward.

Even when we're out of work, life goes on. Priceless.
