This morning I came across a great article about using one’s online social network in a high-level job search. In espousing a range of tools, Matthew Rothenberg wrote, “I use all the resources I need… whether the technology behind it was invented by Gutenberg or Gates.” I like that. (Hence this blog, right?)
Mr. Rothenberg is Editor-in-Chief for TheLadders.com. Here’s his newsletter:

The rest of my day was spent online, rechecking last week’s leads and contacts and beginning to push my out-of-state search. I started to get some “sorry, not at this time” type of responses from a few initial contacts. These are people I know or have worked with, the erstwhile ‘easy pickings’ as it were, so they stung a little. I realize this is not going to be as quick or as simple as previous job changes.
Anyway, don’t fret just yet, right?
